After a serious hiatus from lounging at Circa this past Saturday I dabbled on that thought. Following the blissful encounter with Elastic Bond over at Transit I wanted to continue squeezing the juice out the night. (more to come about that event)
Walked up to the door and was greeted by a charming door man; Circa was looking good already. I continued to walk into the lounge to find many heads dancing to Peter, Bjorn & John “Young Folks” .
The setting as always is chill and homey.
I spot buddy Dj Jay Meletiche taking care of business on the 1’s and 2’s. Jazzed up about the nights events I wave him down. After all he is responsible for that kick ass mix which introduced me to Elastic Bond. Give my love to the dj and continue on to scope the scene.
Walk right past the packed bar and make my way to the patio. The red cozy colours are visible with the romantic lighting kissing you. Mingled a little in the patio and I was off again. Bounced my way to the second floor. Climbed up the stairs looked up into the room and staring right back at me was a fresh mural of a dreaded haired mans face. Drum n’ Bass resonates from the speakers and the crowd is dancing, sweat runs down their faces and they are loving it. I take the opportunity to snap up some interesting shots since the lighting looks rather appealing to me. Took one of my favorite shots of the night when I decided to get a closer look at the bartender noticed the bar lighting backdrop was perfect, Snap . Although upstairs was poppin’ off I went back downstairs. Jay had the crowd getting rowdy to some 80’s hip-hop. Found myself at the bar mingling with several locals and out-of-towners. Always a very welcoming staff. Good time. If your in town on Saturdays check out Circa 28.

Sad that Circa closed down.
